- Why is the food ground?
Many dogs ‘gulp’ their food. Dog cannot move their jaws the way people do and have a tendency to swallow their food without chewing. By grinding the bone fine, this alleviates the worries of bone lodging in the throat.
- My dog drinks less water?
Moisture which is necessary for digestion is contained in natural raw food so the dog does not have to drink excess water, as with kibble, to maintain hydration.
- How much should I fee my dog?
Rule of thumb is 2 – 3% of your dog’s body weight. As with all dogs, this may differ depending on your dog’s metabolism and activity level. It is best to start at the lower end and visually assess your dog. You do not want to overfeed as dogs have the tendency to overeat.

- Is salmonella a problem for dogs?
Salmonella is not a problem for dogs. The acidity level in your dog’s stomach creates an inhospitable environment for bacteria. As like with all raw food, thaw the meat in the bowl and then wash the bowl with soap and water.
- My dog has less stool…is this normal?
Yes, this is normal. Your dog is digesting most of his food and his body is utilizing these nutrients. The stool also degrades at a much faster level.
- Why are our vegetables pureed?
Vegetables are made up of cellulose which dogs cannot easily digest. By pureeing, these cells are crushed therefore allowing the nutrients to be easily absorbed.
- Are raw eggs healthy for my dog?
Raw eggs are a great source of protein, essential fatty acids and calcium when fed as a whole.
- How should I thaw the food?
- thaw out in refrigerator
- place chubs in cold water, for quick thaw.
